A Lady of Leisure

I have been working for 8 years straight, with virtually no breaks in between my jobs. I'm a glutton for punishment. Like many New Yorkers, I am totally self destructive and "Go go go." I LOVE TO WORK AND PLAY HARD. I constantly complained about my long hours, not having free time to do enriching activities. Often, I would daydream about being a lady of leisure - I would go to museums, have a body of steel from work out two hours a day, enjoy leisurely lunches with friends and take advantage of all of the cultural things this city has to offer.

Now I spend my day relentlessly job hunting, meeting and corresponding with contacts, and strategizing my next mov. I go on a million interviews, potential new business meetings, and lunches with friends. I peruse every possible job site several times a day - Indeed, Media Bistro, Bizbash, Monster, HotJobs, etc. and apply to jobs that I am overqualified for, don't really want, or are completely irrelevant to experience. I should be hitting the treadmill, getting a pedicure or going to see films at the MOMA.
